Case study

From 40 to 90 people without a single written policy

Engineering firm, Rajkot Manufacturing 90 employees

The challenge

The business had doubled in two years on informal arrangements. Leave was approved differently by each department head, attendance disputes reached the owner every month, and there was no POSH policy despite crossing the statutory threshold two years earlier.

What we did

A three-week HR audit, followed by a full policy set: attendance and leave, appraisal, probation, notice period, disciplinary procedure and POSH, with an Internal Committee constituted and trained. Managers were taken through a rollout session so the policies were applied the same way across departments.

The outcome

Attendance disputes stopped reaching the owner within two months. The statutory gap was closed, and the appraisal cycle ran on published criteria for the first time.
